Sieb’s Workshop LLC wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification or speech input.

Our commitment

We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. To be straightforward: we consider this site partially conformant — most of it meets that standard and some parts do not yet. The gaps we know about are listed below. Accessibility is ongoing rather than a project that finishes.

What is built into this site

• A skip link. Pressing Tab when a page loads offers a “Skip to main content” link.
• Clear structure. Pages declare their language and use proper headings, landmarks and lists so a screen reader can move through them in a logical order.
• Descriptions for images. Photographs carry written descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they add no noise.
• Announceable links and buttons. Every link and button has text a screen reader can read out.
• Labelled forms. Every field on the contact and quote forms has a visible label, and required fields are marked so the browser announces what is missing.
• Respect for motion settings. If your device asks for reduced motion, the site’s animations and transitions are switched off.

Display preferences

Every page on this site has an accessibility button that opens a panel of display settings. You can change text size, line height and letter spacing, switch to a higher-contrast or inverted colour scheme, mute or remove colour, use a more readable typeface, enlarge the cursor, turn on a reading guide or reading mask, pause animations, and highlight links and headings. There are also one-tap presets for common needs.

Your choices are saved in your own browser and are remembered the next time you visit. Nothing is sent to a server, no account is needed, and no cookies are set.

These settings are a convenience, not a substitute for building the site properly. The structure, labelling, keyboard support and contrast described above are built into the pages themselves, and this site is meant to work with your own screen reader, magnifier or browser settings whether you use that button or not. If something here does not work for you, that is a fault we want to fix — please tell us using the details below.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you where the gaps are than claim there are none. As of the date above:

• Card payments. Checkout for DIY plans and in-stock pieces happens on a page run by Stripe. We do not control its code and cannot guarantee it meets the same standard. If it does not work for you, email us and Abe will arrange payment another way.
• Instagram content. The reels shown on the home page and showcase come from Instagram. Each one carries a plain link to the same post if the embedded player is a barrier.
• Build videos in the customer portal. Some videos are hosted on YouTube and use its player. Ask us and we will describe or summarise the steps in writing.
• Plan PDFs. The DIY plans are drawings and photographs in a PDF and are not fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the measurements and steps in another format.
• The quote builder. Choosing a cart or bar style is done with picture cards. They can be reached and selected with the keyboard, but we have not yet had them tested with every screen reader. Email us a description of what you want and Abe will build the quote for you.

Third-party content

Parts of this site rely on services run by other companies, including Stripe (payments), Instagram (reels), YouTube (portal videos) and Google (fonts and site analytics). We raise accessibility concerns with them, but we cannot repair their code. Where a third-party tool creates a barrier we will always provide another way to get the same thing done — by email, or by phone once you are in touch with Abe.
